Meet EM3!

“I don’t know everything about anything; however, I know a little about a lot!”

Everyone has a story. I am excited to learn yours. Here is mine…

I am making a difference.

Hey there, magnificent people! Welcome to the EM3 Experience! I am Edward, also known as, EM3. Business Psychologist, Strategist Coach, and Influencer.

I help individuals and businesses build strategies to achieve their goals and visions.

My personal vision is to build a life from which I don’t have to take a vacation.

How did I get here?

The Late President Ronald Reagan was credited with saying, “Some people spend a lifetime wondering if they made a difference. Marines don’t have that problem.”

I am from humble beginnings.

I have molded my life after the likes of icons in my life directly and indirectly. My parents were Midwest blue-collar employees with strong work ethics as retirees from both General Motors and General Electric. Family heritage of serving our country dates as far back as the War of 1812 and every battle up to the Global War on Terrorism. My inspirations have come from the incomparable educators and coaches in #TigerNation of The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District. Additionally, notable inspirers like Les Brown, Noel Jones, T.D. Jakes, Shirley Chisolm, Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Mel Robbins, Brene Brown, Anthony Robbins, Eric Thomas, and Tyler Perry have been my role models and indirect mentors. I have also applied theories from books authored by the likes of Napoleon Hill, Stephen Covey, Jim Collins, Kenneth Blanchard, Spencer Johnson, and Dale Carnegie to name a few.

I am a Business Practitioner.

I am a Business Psychologist, Coach, and Speaker with 30 years of leadership in the United States Marine Corps, Aviation, and Aerospace, Healthcare, and Commercial Property industries.  My corporate career includes senior leadership at airports within the Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and Southeastern regions, and organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System, and BP Oil World Headquarters. I am a global practitioner in Risk Management, Human Resources Management, Safety Management, Emergency Management, and Organizational Resilience/Sustainability.

I am a United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran.

I served honorably in the U.S. Marines for almost 15 years. This service includes the Persian Gulf War twice, Joint Task Forces in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Special Operations Capable Marine Expeditionary Units, and United Nations operations with travels to over 30 countries. My highly decorated military service received over 45 awards and medals, including consecutive Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

I am a student.

I place high value in continuing education because I believe there is always someone smarter than me from whom I can learn a thing or two. This is evident in my professional development. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in General and Human Resources Management, a Master of Science in Business Psychology with a focus on Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, and pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I am also professionally trained through my affiliations. This includes a Certified Member and Airport Certified Employee through the American Association of Airport Executives, Certified Risk Management Professional through the Risk Management Society, State of Ohio Insurance Certification, Active Shooter Critical Incident Instructor, OSHA Certified, Safety Management Systems by Airports Council International, and multiple Federal Emergency Management Agency certifications.
